In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Central America showcased varied trends. Here's a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $9.3K at the end of March and ending the quarter around $8.2K. The app saw a notable surge in weekly downloads, especially in mid-May, reaching 127K, while active users hovered around 15M for most of the quarter.

SkyAlert: Alerta Sísmica displayed a downward trend in weekly revenue, starting at $2.9K and concluding at $1.4K. Downloads spiked in late April at 4.3K but remained below 500 for the rest of the quarter. Active users had a significant peak in early May at 78.9K.
